Tras un periodo en la Universidad de Par\u00eds-IV &#8211; La Sorbona, Marc Fumaroli obtuvo la c\u00e1tedra de Ret\u00f3rica y Sociedad en Europa en el <em>Coll\u00e8ge de France<\/em>, puesto que ocup\u00f3 desde 1986 hasta su jubilaci\u00f3n, en 2002. Fue elegido miembro de la <em>Acad\u00e9mie Fran\u00e7aise<\/em> en 1995, y de la <em>Acad\u00e9mie des Inscriptions et Belles-Lettres<\/em>, en 1998.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p style=\"text-align:justify\">Junto con Alain Michel, co-fundador de la ISHR, fue impulsor del renacimiento de los estudios de ret\u00f3rica en Francia.
